Cookie Policy

The short version
Plausible Analytics runs on every page and is cookieless — it's always on. Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel only run if you accept them in the consent banner. You can accept everything, reject everything, or pick categories. Rejecting works equally well as accepting, with no nag screens or workarounds.
What we use, and what it sets
Necessary — Plausible Analytics (always on)
Cookieless, no personal data, no third-country transfer. We use it to count visits and see which pages help people. Plausible:
- Doesn't use cookies
- Doesn't store personal data about you
- Doesn't follow you across other sites
- Hashes IP addresses with a daily-rotating salt and drops the raw IP
Read Plausible's data policy for the technical detail.
Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (opt-in)
If you accept the Analytics category, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages help visitors. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. Data retention is 14 months.
| Cookie | Set by | Lifetime | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google LLC | 2 years | Distinguish unique users |
_ga_<id> | Google LLC | 2 years | Session state for our specific property |
Marketing — Meta (Facebook) Pixel (opt-in)
If you accept the Marketing category, we load the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of ads we run on Facebook and Instagram and to power retargeting audiences. The Pixel does not run if you reject this category.

Managing your consent
The consent banner appears on your first visit with equal-weight Accept and Reject buttons. You can change your mind at any time — clicking reopens the preferences modal. Withdrawing consent reloads the page so any in-memory state from previously-loaded tags is fully invalidated.
Rejection is sticky: if you reject, we won't ask again on the same browser unless you choose to revisit your preferences.
Your browser's cookies
Your browser may have cookies from elsewhere even if you reject everything here. To manage or clear them:
Changes to this policy
Material changes get reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. We don't add tracking retroactively — anything new gets its own consent category and shows up here before it ships. See our Privacy Policy for the full changelog approach.
